Unique and Special Programs

We feel very blessed to have found Loving Arms Child Care Center in West Wichita. The teachers and staff truly care about all the children and their families. We always feel welcome at the center and enjoy the special programs throughout the year, like Muffins with Moms, the Thanksgiving dinner and the Christmas program.  It is such a comfort to know that while we are working, our children are growing and learning in a Christian environment.  We enjoy looking at all the projects they have worked on each day and the daily communication from the teachers is excellent. We have recommended Loving Arms Child Care Center to our friends because it is such a special place.

Great Communication with Parents

Loving Arms Child Care Center has been a great place for my two little ones to experience growing and learning in a Christian environment. As you enter the center, a feeling of warmth and happiness greets you. The teachers are always looking for fun activities to not only entertain the children but promote healthy learning that is very age appropriate. I am always kept “in the loop” with calendars and upcoming events sent straight to my phone via emails. The daily information sheets help me be a part of my children’s activities by communicating to me what my child learned that day, what they ate and when they napped. I appreciate everything that the Loving Arms director and staff do to make it a great place for my children to spend their days!

Prepared Curriculum, Caring Environment, and Clean Facilities

My son was enrolled at the beginning of the school year. After taking a job again as a school counselor after being at home
with my son for a year, I was nervous about finding a suitable and clean Preschool for him to attend that would add to his developmental growth. I can honestly say that the teachers do love the children at this Preschool, and welcome open communication with parents about their child’s educational progression. They also teach a curriculum that has been well thought out, and that is apparent when speaking with the teachers about the curriculum. I highly recommend Loving Arms to any parent who requires a warm, caring, clean, and inviting Preschool.

Nurturing Christian Environment

My son is in kindergarten this year and is 5 years old. He joined Loving Arms almost a year ago.  I was fortunate enough to have had family and great friends take care of him until that period of time.  But I started to notice how his shyness and lack of confidence affected him outside of the home.  Like most shy children, he was a wild man in his home where he was comfortable, but wouldn’t look an adult in the eye, much less speak to one outside of his home. I was referred to Loving Arms from a great friend who also valued the safe Christian atmosphere they provided. I chose to enroll my son there to build his confidence in a safe and nurturing environment. I liked it because it was a Christian center that was small enough he could get one on one attention.  I will never regret that decision.  Now, a year later, he is thriving with his peers. In fact, at times he has even been ornery. He has spoken to his entire class about “show and share” subjects while being the center of attention. I know, without a doubt, that Loving Arms has made a significant difference for my son in preparing him for school and life.  He has made so much progress in the last year.  But even above that, what warms my heart the most is when he talks about something out of the Bible that he learned from school.  He will tell me something that I know I didn’t teach him and I feel so proud that he is learning these things from Loving Arms.  It has changed my entire perspective on private schooling and I am now considering a similar atmosphere for both of my children to finish out their school years.  Thank you, Loving Arms staff, for doing everything you do, with such gentle and spiritual guidance!

Dedicated Staff

Having served as Chairman of the Board of Education and as President at Messiah Lutheran Church, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with the staff and director of Loving Arms Child Care Center. More than simply licensed caregivers, they are wonderful people who truly care about the students. The teachers are the most dedicated and concerned Christian educators in Wichita. The Pre-K curriculum, school type atmosphere, and nurturing environment all give kids a leg up heading into elementary school. The kindergarten at Loving Arms is second to none and offers a wonderful alternative to public school. I am immensely proud to be associated with Messiah Lutheran Church and Loving Arms Child Care Center.
